About Amar

Before becoming a ceramicist and potter, I spent over a decade as a maker in the drinks industry. Over the years, I’ve created cocktail menus in Paris and London, launched brands, opened bars, and eventually found myself working as a writer and drinks stylist for The Whisky Exchange.

My current ceramics collection is informed by my background and draws on the concept of qualia – how we each experience the world through the varying sensitivities of our senses.

Through an ever-changing collection of unique porcelain vessels, I explore how our tactile senses shape taste, considering weight, texture, flow, lip feel, colour and form.
